Dr Daniel Livingstone

Head of Academic Programmes, PL MSc SGVR

Daniel is a Reader in Games & Learning Technology, the Head of Academic Programmes at SimVis, and the programme leader for the MSc in Serious Games & VR.

Daniel's background is in computer science, with particular emphasis in computer graphics and the educational applications of game technology across computing, heritage and medical application areas.

Daniel was the principal investigator on the JISC Virtual Worlds and VLEs project which involved collaborators in the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London, The Open University and the University of Ulster.

Since joining The Glasgow School of Art, Daniel's focus has been primarily on academic development, introducing the MSc in Serious Games & Virtual Reality in 2014, and overseeing the introduction of new undergraduate programmes in Immersive Systems Development and Sound for the Moving Image.
